In case of an emergency, always call 911.
- Please have your garbage can at the curb by 7:00 a.m.
- All bagged trash is to be placed inside the can. No trash may be placed on the lid or outside the can.
- Please do not overload the can as this causes problems for the truck.
- Place the can within 2 feet of the curb, and on a firm and level surface. Place the receptacle with the front towards the road.
- Do not place close to mailboxes or other objects.
- Bulk/yard waste pickup will remain on alternating Thursdays. Click here for the schedule.

YARD WASTE: All yard waste consisting of limbs and branches having a diameter not greater than four (4) inches and a length not greater than four (4) feet must be tied in bundles. The Waste Hauler shall not be obligated to collect any branches or limbs having a diameter greater than four (4) inches or a length greater than four (4) feet. All yard waste consisting of grass clippings and leaves shall be placed in bags and tied. The Waste Hauler shall not be obligated to collect any yard waste not prepared for in this manner. Yard waste shall not exceed thirty-five (35) pounds. The maximum number of bags shall be 8 per pickup.
RECYCLING is available at the Middle Valley Recycling Center at 1868 Crabtree Rd, Hixson. The recycling center can be reached at 423-843-9317.
If your garbage can is missing, most likely the hauler took it because it was damaged beyond use. Give us a call at 423-842-2533 to request a replacement.

Auto parts stores usually accept old motor oil, transmission fluids, antifreeze and some may accept old tires. Please call your nearest auto parts store to inquire about this option.
My neighbor has an object blocking/partially blocking the roadway.

Dirt bikes are going up and down my street, upsetting the kids and making the dogs bark.

Season passes and day passes are available for purchase at city hall. Season pass sales begin in early May of every year.

Don't wait and call City Hall to report a problem or possible crime. City hall staff cannot assist you in an emergency or take a police report. All police related matters need to be reported to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

If you hit a deer or other wildlife, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), Region 3 should be called. Their telephone number is 1-800-262-6704. To connect directly to their website, click TWRA Region 3.
You have several options available to you. If you have wildlife trapped in your home, such as a squirrel or mice, please contact any of the privately operated wildlife removal services in our area. These providers will usually also pick up deceased animals.

Burning permits are issued by the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Board. You may obtain a permit by calling 423-643-5970. You may also apply for a permit via their website at https://apcb.org/.
No burning is allowed in Hamilton County May 1 through September 30.
