Mayor David Howell, his wife Lori and their three children live on Collins Lane. Mayor Howell is the Commissioner for Public Safety. 


David is a native of Hamilton County and graduated from Ooltewah High School. He has degrees in Business and Education from the University of Tennessee.

David supports a conservative approach to spending, strong families, limited government, top quality education and safe streets and neighborhoods. He is very much a man of faith and a family man and loves spending his time with his family.

Vice Mayor Bobby Bishop currently serves as the Commissioner for Public Works. He has lived in Lakesite for 24+ years where he and his wife, Tina, raised their two children Katie and Bobby, Jr.

Bobby attended Central High School and graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Chattanooga State and later earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Bryan College. He is in his 27th year with Davron Technologies, Inc. and holds the position of Office Manager. He is also an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and fishing.

Using his Christian faith and family values as a moral compass, Bobby looks forward to serving our local community and businesses while working together to help meet the needs of our beautiful city.

Commissioner Michelle Wilson currently serves as the Commissioner for Parks & Recreation. She has lived in Lakesite on Lyons Lane for 26 years and raised two children with her husband Dale and now has a granddaughter. She is a Hamilton County school bus driver as well as a local small business owner.

Michelle has also served as an officer on the Lakesite Recreation Club Board (a private entity for those that don’t know that) for many years. She has a strong sense of community, family and for helping others. Michelle believes that Lake site is the best community in the area and will strive to continue its growth.

Commissioner Valerie Boddy currently serves as the Commissioner for Budget and Finance. She and husband Keith have resided in Lakesite since 1991.  Valerie is a native of Hamilton County and attended Ooltewah High School and graduated from Collegedale Academy. She has a B.S. in Business with a major in Accounting and a Masters of Accountancy, both from the University of Tennessee.

Valerie is conservative with all things financial and is a firm believer in community involvement.  She has previously served on the National Night-Out Committee and the Parks and Recreation Committee.  She is an avid supporter of Lakesite and is committed to attracting new business opportunities to the city while maintaining the small-town environment.

Commissioner Wayne Behlau currently serves as the Commissioner for Public Utilities and serves as the Vice-Chair of the board of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Authority (WWTA). He has lived in Lakesite for 8+ years where he and his wife, Linda, enjoy their forever home and the City of Lakesite with friends, family and neighbors.


Wayne graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.  His diverse career spans automation design, instrumentation sales, business development, commercial project management and commercial landscaping. He is an enthusiast for all things outdoors, horticulture and helping others. 

Wayne will be using his conservative values and professional experience to serve all stake holders in Lakesite. Managed, balanced and thoughtful growth in both businesses and city enhancements; while always seeking community input, are key priorities for Wayne.
