City/County Services

Garbage service: Trash is collected on Mondays and Thursdays each week beginning at 7:00 a.m. Brush and large items will be collected on an alternating basis, brush one week and large items the next. Curbside pickup is provided by the City under contract with Waste Connection of Tennessee, Inc. New residents should contact Lakesite City Hall to begin service.

Water: Hixson Utility District (no sewers in residential area).

Electricity: Provided by EPB of Chattanooga

Natural Gas: Provided by Chattanooga Gas

Schools: Soddy-Daisy High, Loftis Middle, Allen Elementary (a small area may be zoned to McConnell Elementary).

Police service: CALL 911 in case of emergency requiring police. Non-emergencies call Hamilton County Dispatcher 622-0022. Police services provided under contract with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department.

Fire: CALL 911 in case of fire. Fire protection provided by Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department. The city pays an amount sufficient to cover quarterly donation for each city household, but residents may contribute additional funds if they wish.

The Post Office serving Lakesite is Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379. City residents may use the 37379 zip code with their Lakesite address.

Building Permits: Plans must be submitted and approved by the City Engineer. Permit price is based on square footage. The average permit price for new home construction is $275-$325. Building code conforms to Southern Building Code. Additional deed covenants apply in some areas of the city.

Pet Licenses: Pets must have rabies tags and Lakesite tags.
